Why Aluplast uPVC?
uPVC window frames provide superior insulation and soundproofing compared to aluminium. While aluminium conducts heat efficiently, making it a poor insulator, uPVC is much more effective at maintaining temperature control. Since the 1970s, uPVC has been widely adopted in North America, Europe, and the UK. Today over 80% of European and UK homes feature uPVC windows and doors.
Warmer
uPVC is an effective insulator, making it ideal for keeping your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Aluplast uPVC has been measured to perform around 63% better than aluminium and about 25% better than thermally broken aluminium.
Quieter
Our uPVC profiles and double-glazing have been measured to reduce external noise by up to 38db (depending on glass configurations). uPVC reduces external environmental noise just as effectively as it resists the cold.
Durable
Our uPVC windows and doors are engineered to last at least 40 years in New Zealand conditions. uPVC doesn’t rot or corrode, is resistant to UV light, and is low maintenance. It can be simply cleaned with warm soapy water as required.
